Olivera has been working hard in several sectors of this fitness industry for almost 15 years. Her work has lead her to restorative based movement programs. She specials in Pilates as therapy from alignments such as those she sees occurring from prolonged sitting. She is driven by her goals of a pain free existence for everybody. This comes with self-awareness, a stronger core, taller posture and balanced movement. She incorporates dance, meditation, Pilates, general strength and interval training into fun routines that encourage you to feel the body you live in. Has expertise in programming fitness routines that promote cardiovascular health and weight loss for kids, seniors and adults. Olivera has a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University East Bay and a bachelors degree in Biopsychology from University of California State Santa Barbara. She is Stott Pilates certified since 2008. Prior to this she was working as an ACE certified personal trainer. She has earned certifications to teach Mat Pilates, Sport Yoga, and holds a Group Exercise Instructor Certification from De Anza College.
Sheryl is so excited to be working at Club Pilates and spreading her love and enthusiasm for Pilates to everyone, believing in bringing ‘Pilates to the People’ where all are welcome to transform their lives through this mindful movement practice. After living in Italy and teaching English for over 12 years, Sheryl has recently returned to California, settling in the South Bay Area with her family. She began taking Pilates several years ago and loves what it has done for her health and well being, creating a more balanced body and focused mind, in addition to helping heal a knee injury due to running. She took this passion for mindful movement and completed the Balanced Body based Pilates Instructor Certification Program for Mat and Reformer at College of San Mateo. She enjoys promoting Pilates as a way of integrating core strength, improving posture alignment, flexibility, and greater body awareness. Motivating and encouraging people to find joy in movement is her greatest pleasure in teaching.
Fitness is a great passion of mine. I have always enjoyed being athletic and grew up playing soccer. I have over 4 years working as nationally certified master trainer for a big commercial gym. I’ve worked with people of all different sizes and ages to help them reach their fitness goals. My goal is to always provide great service, excellent sessions, and awesome experiences with Club Pilates.
Laura believes that the intelligence of the Pilates method is beneficial to anyone. Using the mind body connection to bring elegance and grace to movement is the dedication of her practice. In the work, helping clients in finding the space between effort and struggle, bringing the principles of well being, alignment, strength and flexibility to every session, she assists people to feel good in their bodies ! Holding certificates with STOTT Intensive Mat, Total Barre, Yoga Alliance, Balanced Body Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrel and Trapeze along with a 40 year career in choreography and dance, gives her the tools to enable young to maturing bodies feel their best.
Johnny Huynh is a San Jose native, he has been immersed in the fitness industry since high school. As a senior he started a yoga club where he taught yoga to help students destress and relax. Currently he has stuck with fitness as an aqua exercise instructor, swim instructor, lifeguard instructor, and a tango dancer. His passion for fitness stems from enjoyment and hard work. The benefits of fitness are tremendous and he hopes to help others realize how living an active lifestyle will help them as it did for him. Through Pilates, Johnny hopes to help people understand their bodies and build upon it as both a life endeavor and also a means to prevent deterioration or injury. His approach to class is to be mindful of multiple aspects and to help members continue moving forward through fun moves, paces, and exercise routines. No matter where your at in your journey Johnny is there to help you work towards moving forward.
Juliette aspires to help each individual feel comfortable in their body at every stage of their fitness journey. In Southern California, she played softball from a young age all throughout highschool and in a travel team. She also volunteered her time coaching youth sports and interning at out-patient physical therapy clinics. In Northern California, she obtained an associates degree in Kinesiology from Mission College in 2018 and is currently working on her undergrad in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and Movement from San Francisco State University. Her passion for Pilates comes from the way this low-impact exercise really is for "EVERY BODY". Pilates also brings peace of mind to her own physical and mental health, which is why she focuses on crafting a diverse and challenging routine unique to each individual while executing proper form, increasing core strength, and working within the body's limits.
